KALUSH EXPO® 2026: From Growth Dialogues to Actionable Enterprise Opportunities

The opening thematic block of KALUSH EXPO® 2026 focused on investments, industrial clusters, and municipal development, addressing a vital practical question: what real growth mechanisms are available to businesses today, and how can enterprises leverage them effectively?

The panel, titled "The Role of Clusters in Regional Resilience," was moderated by Borys Nikolenko, Director and Co-owner of IMPERATYV Plant LLC and member of the Prykarpattia Industrial Cluster.

Moving beyond high-level industry challenges, the discussion concentrated on concrete, ready-to-deploy growth tools and instruments. Key topics included:

International Market Expansion: Accessing export markets and building global commercial capabilities.
Enterprise Support Frameworks: Utilizing available institutional mechanisms and growth programs.
Industry-Academia Collaboration: Structuring practical partnerships between manufacturing plants, vocational schools, and research universities.
Resource Optimization: Identifying alternative revenue streams and maximizing asset utilization.
Operational Efficiency: Pinpointing structural process losses and boosting shop-floor productivity.
Industrial Infrastructure: Developing turnkey industrial sites and attracting investment into local communities.

A key practical outcome of the panel was an agreement to launch specialized international market expansion training for local enterprise representatives, delivered in partnership with the Entrepreneurship and Export Promotion Office. Furthermore, operational excellence experts and industrial leaders demonstrated diagnostic tools that enable plants to uncover hidden inefficiencies, streamline production workflows, and increase throughput.

The event was organized under the "Enhanced Partnership for Sustainable Recovery" (EPSR) project, funded by the Government of Sweden through the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) and implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Ukraine.
